Our first rugby team participated from 26 March to 2 April in the Klein Karoo Seed Production u/19 Rugby Week, held at Hoër Landbouskool Oakdale. This prestigious rugby week brought together schools from across the country and provided players with the opportunity to test their skills, perseverance, and teamwork against strong opposition.
The team’s tournament began on Saturday, 28 March 2026, with a challenging encounter against Hoërskool Charlie Hofmeyr. In a physical and intense match, our team fought hard but ultimately came up short in a tough contest. Despite the defeat, the players showed excellent character and continued fighting until the final whistle, highlighting their pride and commitment to our school.
On the second day, the Dallers faced Langenhoven Gimnasium. At halftime, our team trailed 03–05, but in an impressive display of determination and teamwork, they turned the match around in the second half and secured a nail-biting 22–20 victory. This win clearly highlighted the team’s spirit and ability to perform under pressure.
On the third day, our first team faced Augsburg Landbou Gimnasium. The Dallers took control from the start and were already leading 21–07 at halftime. They built on this momentum and went on to secure a convincing 31–12 victory.
Over the course of the tournament, our first rugby team not only showcased their skills on the field but also demonstrated character, unity, and perseverance. The Klein Karoo Seed Production u/19 Rugby Week proved to be a valuable learning experience that undoubtedly contributed to the team’s growth and confidence for the remainder of the season.
