We all know that most times - dirt roads lead to tar roads - tar roads to highways and highways to the best destinations! Today we would like to express our gratitude to every teacher/educator who has been part of this journey until the end of 2025. This journey might not have been as easy without your support and input.
First of all, we are grateful for the foundation that the parents and primary schools laid in the lives of the Class of 2025. Matric results do not start in gr. 8 or in gr. 1, but with parents and family who stimulate their children at home from birth. Play schools that teach and stimulate toddlers to be eager to learn on a daily basis play an important role. The feeding schools of Hoërskool Ben Viljoen are doing an excellent job!
These learners' life paths were certainly filled with the right signposts, road maps and a good compass for guidance. The foundation and adventures along everyone's life paths, the hard work and time that everyone has put in, together serve as the key to success.
Hoërskool Ben Viljoen is very proud of these learners who said goodbye to their high school career with a matric pass rate of 96.6%. The total number of distinctions stands at 112.

Matric Remarking
The class of 2025 stole the spotlight earlier this year with their excellent performances in the 2025 National Senior Certificate (NSC) examinations. Now, after the completion of the re-marking processes, this group has once again confirmed their academic quality and proven that we can rightly be considered one of the top academic schools in Limpopo.
The latest results have resulted in an impressive increase in the number of distinctions. With an additional eight distinctions and one symbol improvement, the total now stands at a remarkable 120 distinctions obtained by the class of 2025.
Ané Botha, Merie Muller, and Joe Cloete each achieved an additional distinction and now boast four distinctions. Ellené van der Westhuyzen increased her total to three distinctions, while Carmen Labuschagne stands out with an impressive six distinctions. Anel Geyser now has two distinctions, and Keziah Truter and Dineo Manaka each have three. There have also been notable improvements at the subject level. The number of distinctions in Afrikaans Home Language has increased from four to five, while Afrikaans First Additional Language has increased from twelve to thirteen. English First Additional Language shows a particularly strong jump from eight to eleven distinctions. Further growth is visible in Consumer Studies and Geography, which have each increased from one to two distinctions, as well as in Engineering Graphics and Design, which has improved from four to five distinctions.
These results are not only a testament to the hard work and dedication of the learners but also to the continued support and quality teaching provided at Hoërskool Ben Viljoen. We are proud of each learner’s achievement and look forward to building on this strong academic foundation.
