Bisley is an individual competition that helps to promote the learner's concentration. Three cards are shot on the first day, consisting of a lying, standing and kneeling position. The second day, two cards are shot in a standing position which are known as an Olympiad. The first card is shot in a 30 minutes time frame while the second card is shot in a 25 minutes time frame. Each card counts 200 points which means that the total point at the end of the competition counts out of 1000 points.
We participate in the Mpumalanga league which consists of Mpumalanga schools and mixed regional divisions. In the Mpumalanga league are schools such as HTS Middelburg, Hoërskool Middelburg, Witbank Tegnies and Hoërskool Generaal Hertzog. Furthermore, this league is divided into regions namely Nkangala, Hoëveld and Nelspruit.
In Mpumalanga, this sport is the largest and grows in numbers annually.
The marksmen practice once a day between 14:00 and 16:00.
