Hoërskool Ben Viljoen hosted their first netball league matches of the season on home soil on 24 March 2026, where they competed against HTS Witbank. The day was characterised by great enthusiasm, teamwork and good sportsmanship, with several teams delivering excellent performances.
The u/14A team made a strong start by winning their match 11–7, while the u/14B team unfortunately lost 8–17. In the u/15 division, the A team fought hard but lost 11–15, and the B team also experienced a challenging match with a score of 4–18.
However, Hoërskool Ben Viljoen’s u/16 teams showed their mettle. The u/16A team won convincingly with a score of 20–12, while the u/16B team also achieved a good victory of 10–7.
The second team put in a good performance and won 7–4, but the first team faced strong opposition and lost 12–27.
Although the day produced mixed results, it was a promising start to the season. The players gained valuable match experience and laid the foundation for further development in the league. Hoërskool Ben Viljoen looks forward to the rest of the season and the opportunities that lie ahead.
