Our u/15 cricket team faced Hoërskool Frikkie Meyer in the final on Saturday, 17 October 2026. Although our Dallers had to bow the knee with four wickets, our team displayed determination and produced several excellent individual performances.
Our Dallers batted first and scored a total of 147 runs in 32.2 overs before being bowled out.
Lian Jordaan was the standout batter, scoring an impressive 51 runs off 50 balls. Ethan Pietersen also made a valuable contribution with 30 runs off just 16 balls, including four fours and two sixes. Mathew Kantwe added 15 runs to the total.
Our Dallers continued to fight hard with the ball. Ethan Pietersen took three wickets for 31 runs, while Abdullah Patel and Bernard van Blerk claimed one wicket each.
Hoërskool Frikkie Meyer, however, reached the target of 148 runs in 26.5 overs to win the final by four wickets.
Although the result did not go our way, we are proud of our players for reaching the final and having the opportunity to showcase their talent and skills. Reaching a final is already a remarkable achievement, and every match provides valuable lessons for the journey ahead.
