Duan Spaumer, one of our Grade 10 learners, participated in the AVS Summer Week during the school holidays as a member of the South Eastern Transvaal u/16 Rugby Sevens team.
Duan’s exceptional performance and leadership abilities did not go unnoticed. He was honoured with the appointment as captain of the team – a testament to the trust placed in him.
Duan certainly proved his worth on the field! He was named Player of the Match twice and scored an impressive eight tries, converting all eight himself. His contribution undoubtedly helped make South Eastern Transvaal’s campaign a memorable one.
South Eastern Transvaal finished the tournament in overall 7th place.
