The school hall of Hoërskool Ben Viljoen underwent a complete transformation on Wednesday evening, 7 October 2026, when the annual Mr and Ms Ben Viljoen event took place. With this year’s striking theme, “Music Vault,” guests and participants were taken on a journey through the world of music, music videos and style.

For one evening, the school hall made way for a stage that evoked the glamour and energy of a music video. The décor, atmosphere and appearance of the participants perfectly reflected the theme and created an evening that truly felt like an MTV-inspired production. From the moment the first participant stepped onto the stage, it was clear that this year’s competition was going to be something special.

The evening’s master of ceremonies was none other than Q-Man, also known as Quinton, who is particularly well known for his popular Lae Houe video series on social media. With his unique style, energy and sense of humour, he guided the audience through the evening and ensured that there was never a dull moment.

The participants stepped onto the stage with confidence, and each one embraced the opportunity to showcase their own personality and individual style. The competition once again demonstrated that Mr and Ms Ben Viljoen is about much more than just a beauty pageant – it is an opportunity for learners to express themselves, develop their confidence and share their unique personalities with the Daller family.

With so many diverse personalities and talented participants on stage, the judges certainly had a challenging task ahead of them. Each finalist brought something special to the competition and helped maintain the high standard of the evening.

The special individual titles highlighted the unique qualities and personalities of the participants.
Mr Photogenic: Christiaan Vermeulen
Ms Photogenic: Chenél Grundling
Mr Personality: Altus Venter
Ms Personality: Christi Patricio

These awards recognised participants who stood out through their presence, personality and ability to shine in front of the camera and the audience.

As the evening progressed, the anticipation continued to build. One by one, the royal titles were announced, with each announcement being met with great anticipation and enthusiastic applause.
The titles of Second Prince and Second Princess were awarded to:
Second Prince – Hugo Lourens
Second Princess – Bontle Mkwanazi

The next names to be announced were those of the First Prince and First Princess:
First Prince – Christiaan Vermeulen
First Princess – Chenél Grundling

For the finalists, hearing their names among the winners was a special moment. The applause from the audience reflected the support and pride of the Daller family.

Finally, the moment everyone had been waiting for arrived.
With the stage lights shining, anticipation filling the hall and the audience waiting eagerly, the prestigious titles of Mr and Ms Ben Viljoen 2026 were announced.
To thunderous applause, the winners were announced:
Mr Ben Viljoen 2026 – Omphile Tshikane
Ms Ben Viljoen 2026 – Isabel Aguinaga

The new Mr and Ms Ben Viljoen proudly took to the stage and brought the evening to an unforgettable climax.

Mr and Ms Ben Viljoen 2026 was about much more than simply a competition. It was an evening celebrating the creativity, confidence, style and individuality of our learners. It was an opportunity for every finalist to be themselves, showcase their talents and become part of one of the highlights on the Ben Viljoen cultural calendar.

The “Music Vault” theme provided the perfect backdrop for an evening where music and fashion, personality and entertainment, as well as tradition and new energy, came together.
