Our u/14 and u/16 rugby teams competed in the Limpopo Rugby Final at Hoërskool Ellisras yesterday, proudly representing the Dallers on one of the province’s biggest stages.
The u/14 side delivered an outstanding performance, defeating Hoërskool Frikkie Meyer 22–12 to be crowned Limpopo champions.
Lwandile Sebumbo scored the opening try of the match before a blistering run by Leigh-Grant Tiemie created the opportunity for Wilzandro Balie to cross the try line. Leisure Matsepe also added a try, while Justin van Vuuren was successful with the boot, adding the extras. Mpho Matsetela was deservedly named Man of the Match for his exceptional performance.
The u/16 team faced Hoërskool Ellisras for the third time this season in a hard-fought final. Although the Dallers were ultimately defeated 32–12, they displayed tremendous determination and resilience throughout the match. Jurihan Swart scored our first points of the game in the first half before crossing the try line again in the second half for his second try of the match.
Congratulations to our u/14 team on an outstanding championship victory, and well done to both teams, their coaches, and supporters for representing the Daller family with pride.
