On Friday, 23 January 2026, we held our annual interhouse athletics meet - a day that delivered top-quality athletics. Our athletes really set the track on fire, and five existing records were broken, including an impressive record that has stood since 1972 and was remembered by many members of the community.
Congratulations to all our athletes. Your hard work, perseverance and dedication have certainly paid off, and we look forward to a promising athletics season with great excitement.
The grade groups were once again divided into colourful countries this year, which provided excellent spirit and entertainment. Four groups of cheerleaders had the crowd on their feet, with the Grade 8's and Grade 9's representing South Africa, while the Grade 10's found themselves in Egypt. The Grade 11's were the proud representatives of America, and the Grade 12's fueled the energetic and infectious spirit of Brazil.
After a day consisting of competition, teamwork and spirit, the Grade 10's were declared the winners of the grade athletics with an impressive 704 points.
