Our 2026 Social Netball League concluded last night – and what an exciting season it was! Once again, the league showed how sport brings people together and creates opportunities for great competition, teamwork and plenty of fun.
In the adult category, there is a new champion on the throne this year. Congratulations to the Ratels of Laerskool Julian Muller, who were proudly crowned the 2026 champions! After three consecutive years of Bomb Squad claiming the title, they were dethroned this year. The Ratels showed that they were ready to rise to the challenge and secure their place as champions.
The learner final provided a real nail-biting battle. The match between Ramkat Mafia, our Grade 11 learners, and the Black Mambas, our Grade 9 learners, was so closely contested that the two teams were tied at the end of normal playing time.
The crowd was kept on the edge of their seats as the teams then had to play an additional two minutes per side to determine the winner. In a match where every goal counted, Ramkat Mafia eventually came out on top, claiming the title by just two goals against the Black Mambas!
Congratulations to all the teams who participated this year and helped make the Social Netball League such a success. A special word of thanks to everyone who supported the league – players, supporters, officials, organisers and the entire Daller community. Once again, you have shown that sport is about so much more than simply winning and losing – it is about community, camaraderie and Daller pride!
We look forward to seeing you all back in action in 2027!
