Our girls’ cricket team delivered an excellent T20 performance in Nylstroom on 9 September 2026, securing a 26-run victory over Hoërskool Nylstroom’s girls’ team. Our Dallers batted first and posted a competitive 140/7 in their 20 overs.
Izelke Oosthuizen was one of the standout performers with the bat, scoring a valuable 30 runs off 26 balls, including five boundaries. Lesedi Makofane contributed 21 runs, while Deneske van Niekerk added 19 runs.
With the ball, our girls responded excellently to control the home team’s scoring rate. Hoërskool Nylstroom were restricted to 114/8, giving our team a well-deserved 26-run victory. Kamo Shadung took three wickets, while Liliana Jansen Van Rensburg and Izelke each added two wickets.
Izelke delivered an outstanding all-round performance. In addition to her 30 runs with the bat, she contributed 2/14 from her four overs with the ball. Her impressive contribution was rewarded when she was named Player of the Match.
We are also incredibly proud that Izelke has progressed to the second round of the Limpopo trials. This achievement is a wonderful recognition of her talent, hard work and dedication to the sport.
