Our Open Day, which took place on 23 April 2026, was a day to remember – one that felt more like a lively carnival than a traditional school event.
From early morning, the school grounds were buzzing with energy and excitement. Parents and prospective learners were welcomed by a colourful, festive atmosphere from 17:00 onward. The various stalls, with their subject exhibitions and activities, ensured there was something for everyone to experience and enjoy.
The Dallers proudly showcased our school. Academic departments presented interactive exhibitions, while sports and cultural groups highlighted their talents and achievements. Visitors had the opportunity to experience first-hand what it means to be part of the Ben Viljoen family.
What made this Open Day special was the sense of community and togetherness. Learners enthusiastically fulfilled their role as ambassadors, making every visitor feel at home. The cheerful atmosphere, along with the wide variety of activities, certainly contributed to the “carnival” feeling that prevailed throughout the day.
The success of the Open Day is a testament to the hard work and cooperation of staff, learners and parents. Hoërskool Ben Viljoen has once again shown that we are not just a place of academics, but a dynamic community where everyone has the opportunity to grow and participate, and where every learner can reach their full potential.
