Our Grade 8 to 12 learners had the opportunity to embark on a unique and exciting adventure today – not by plane, but through technology! With the presentation of VR-Education’s safari program, they experienced a virtual safari that took them deep into the heart of Africa’s wildlife.
Through the use of stunning 360-degree Virtual Reality, nature literally came alive around them. Learners were able to get up close and personal with Africa’s most magnificent animals – from the majestic Big Five to the impressive, soaring giraffes. They also experienced the powerful and sometimes dangerous side of nature with the sight of crocodiles and the infamous hippos.
This innovative learning experience not only expanded knowledge but also sparked curiosity and appreciation for our continent’s unique biodiversity. It is proof that it doesn’t have to be limited to the classroom – with technology, the world can truly be within reach.
