This function was an opportunity not only to honour the players, but also to emphasise the values of teamwork, dedication, and pride that accompany first-team netball. During this event, the players were officially announced as members of the first netball team - an honour that reflects hard work, perseverance, and outstanding performance on the court.

A highlight of the function was the presentation of the team’s official playing kit. Each player received her kit as a symbol of the responsibility and pride that come with representing the school at the first-team level. The kit not only symbolises unity, but also the pride of wearing the colours of Hoërskool Ben Viljoen.

By signing the First Team Code of Honour, the players committed themselves to values such as respect, discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship. The Code of Honour serves as a guideline that will shape the team’s conduct both on and off the court, confirming their commitment to representing the school with integrity.

With their new playing kit and signed Code of Honour, Hoërskool Ben Viljoen’s first netball team enters the season with pride, determination, and the support of the entire school community.
