Hoërskool Ben Viljoen’s girls' hostel is known as "Huis Cherié", and was opened in 1954.

The learners testify to many fun moments in the hostel but also to hard work on academics, sports and cultural fields. We are proud to say that Huis Cherié girls are very involved and often also excel in the various fields!
The girls' hostel can accommodate 75 girls and serves three meals a day - breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Rooms accommodate one learner per room, except for Grade 8 learners who sometimes have to share.
Girls can start returning from 16:00 on Sundays and have to check out again on Fridays at 13:30
Hostel Fees are available here.
Learners stay in the same room until grade 12 and may paint the room. Residence furniture may not be painted but may be sanded and varnished.
Requirements for the residence
• Own bedding and curtains. (Window size: Width 135 cm, length to window sill 165 cm, length to floor 245 cm.
• Comfortable clothes for sports.
• Swimwear and towel.
• School supplies
• Toiletries.
• Dustbin, broom and duster.
• Shoe polish + Brush - nice clean school shoes are a must.
• Lock for cupboard and door.
• Bible or Diary (How else can you approach and end the day?)
• Laundry bag.
• Bath plug or if you like shower - Flipflops.
• Toilet paper
• Pictures and decorations for your room.
• Requirements for school newcomers will be announced.

Study : 14:15 – 15:00 (Boys can attend extra classes at school)

Evening:
Dinner : 17:30 /17:45
1st study : 18:45 - 19:45
Break : 19:45 - 20:00

Silence : 21:30 - 21:40 (in kamers)
