The day promised to be one of great competition, pride and spirit, and the Dallers certainly did not disappoint.

The seven schools that form part of the Bosveld Interhigh League are Hoërskool Piet Potgieter, Hoërskool Ben Viljoen, Hoërskool Nylstroom, Hoërskool Warmbad, Hoërskool Hans Strijdom, Hoërskool Ellisras and Hoërskool Frikkie Meyer. Year after year, this event brings together the best athletes and spirit from the Bosveld region.

The famous sports credo captures the true spirit of sportsmanship:
“For when the Great Scorer comes to mark against your name, He writes - not that you have won or lost - But HOW your attitude in the battle was.”

Dallers On Fire
It was an extremely successful day for Hoërskool Ben Viljoen's athletes. The team won an impressive 20 gold, 23 silver and 15 bronze medals, consistently showing that the Dallers are indeed “On Fire”.

One of the highlights of the day was Marnu Hancke’s outstanding performance in the u/17 discus. He improved the previous record of 51.43m, set in 2023 by Lourens Erasmus of Hoërskool Frikkie Meyer, to a phenomenal 57.87m. Marnu’s exceptional performance not only earned him the title of Athlete of the Day, but also Best Field Athlete.

The day was filled with excitement, hard work and pride. Hoërskool Ben Viljoen's athletes, cheerleaders and singing team represented their school with honour and showed that teamwork, perseverance and spirit still form the core of the Bosveld Interhigh.

With these excellent achievements, the Dallers can rightly be proud - the flame burns brightly at Hoërskool Ben Viljoen!
