Monique Viljoen, one of our current Grade 9 learners, recently achieved an outstanding achievement in ballet.
On 29 November 2025, she passed her Intermediate Ballet examination at the Dance Academy of South Africa in Pretoria with distinction. This Intermediate level represents the second year of a four-year grade course aimed at completing a ballet career.
Furthermore, Monique was also honoured with the following awards at the Elda Meyer Dance Academy's awards ceremony, which took place on 24 September 2025:
• Best Achiever in Stage Work with an A+
• Most Promising Dancer for Advanced Classwork 2025
These achievements are a testament to Monique's hard work, dedication and natural talent. We wish her all the best with her further ballet career, and we proudly look forward to seeing what the future holds for her.
