There is a quote that goes: “A good coach shows you the line to the winning zone, but a great coach also shows you the line to your full potential.”
Hoërskool Ben Viljoen says goodbye to Mr Paul Kruger, who has been part of the Ben Viljoen family since 14 January 2025. Mr Kruger taught Mathematical Literacy and Life Orientation, and his passion for teaching and sport made a noticeable impact on learners and colleagues.
As coach of the first rugby team that won the Limpopo final, Mr Kruger proved that he not only understood the finer details of the game, but also how to instil confidence, teamwork and perseverance in young sportsmen. His involvement extended to the provincial level, where he was one of the u/16 Doom Gouws week coaches that guided and inspired talented players to reach their full potential.
In the classroom, Mr Kruger not only helped learners become proficient in Mathematical Literacy and Life Orientation, but also to approach problems critically, take responsibility and develop life skills that equip them for the future. His passion for both academics and sports demonstrated that true leadership consists of dedication, vision and empathy.
With sincere appreciation, we say: Thank you very much, Mr Kruger, for your time, your energy and your inspiring legacy at Hoërskool Ben Viljoen. May your next chapter be filled with the same success, challenges and joy that you left behind.
