Mr Excellent Mnkomo remarkably confirmed his excellence at this year’s Limpopo Referees Association End of Year function, receiving almost every award on offer. His dedication and skill in the sport have propelled him to the very pinnacle of recognition.
He was named Referee of the Year and also received the prestigious Best Performance as a Referee award. He was further honoured by his colleagues as the Referees' Referee of the Year, a true testament to the respect and admiration he commands within the school and club rugby community.
Mr Mnkomo’s outstanding year extended to the international stage, with appointments at international matches for schools and clubs, as well as the Interschools match in Zimbabwe between St John's and St George.
He also made a significant impact at the national level, officiating at Craven Week, the Division 1 Noordvaal Final, and the South African Schools vs South African Schools' A-team match.
These remarkable achievements highlight not only his skill and integrity as a referee but also his passion for the game and tireless pursuit of excellence. Mr Mnkomo’s accomplishments serve as an inspiration to aspiring referees in Limpopo and across the country.
