Hoërskool Ben Viljoen welcomed Hoërskool Ellisras to their home grounds on Saturday, 30 May 2026, for an exciting day of rugby action. The Dallers displayed determination, skill, and true school pride throughout the day, producing several outstanding performances across the various age groups.
The u/14A team delivered a dominant display, securing an impressive 33–0 victory, while the u/14B side continued the winning momentum with a convincing 15–0 win. The u/15A team also impressed, overcoming their opponents 17–10 in a hard-fought contest.
One of the highlights of the day was the u/16A team's excellent 31–22 victory. Their determination and teamwork were evident throughout the match as they battled their way to a well-deserved win. The u/16B side fought bravely but narrowly lost 12–17 after a competitive encounter.
In the senior fixtures, the third team produced another positive result, defeating Ellisras 26–20. The second team faced a strong Ellisras outfit and went down 7–52 despite their efforts. The first team delivered a spirited performance in the final match of the day but were ultimately defeated 24–32 in a competitive contest.
Although not every result went Ben Viljoen's way, the day showcased the character, commitment, and fighting spirit that define the Dallers. The school can be proud of the performances delivered by all the players and coaching staff who represented Hoërskool Ben Viljoen with distinction.
