Our Bevonkte ATKV Youth Branch celebrates International Tea Day today, 21 May 2026. This day is observed worldwide to recognise the cultural value, history, and social significance of tea, and to bring people together through simple moments of conviviality.
The celebration on our school terrain created a warm and festive atmosphere where staff had the opportunity to enjoy tea together and learn more about the role that tea has played in different cultures over the centuries. From traditional rooibos tea to fragrant herbal teas, there was something for everyone to enjoy.
With this celebration, the Bevonkte ATKV Youth Branch focused on the important role tea plays across various social settings. In a busy school environment, moments like these offer staff the chance to slow down a bit, create new memories and strengthen relationships.
The Bevonkte ATKV Youth Branch continues to play an important role in raising awareness of special international days among learners and staff. International Tea Day was yet another proof of how small gestures and simple traditions can bring people closer together.
