We won the toss and elected to bowl first. Our bowlers applied pressure early on and restricted Frikkie Meyer to 73/4 in their 20 overs. Izelke Oosthuizen was outstanding with the ball, taking an impressive 3 wickets for just 5 runs in her four overs, while Danielle Wessels also claimed a wicket.

With the bat, Izelke Oosthuizen top-scored for our team with 19 runs. Despite a determined effort from our girls, our team finished their 20 overs on 72/9 – just one run short of Frikkie Meyer’s total.

The match ultimately went to Hoërskool Frikkie Meyer, who secured a thrilling one-run victory. The result reflects just how close the contest was, with both teams fighting until the very last ball.

We are incredibly proud of each of our girls who gave their very best and continued to fight until the end. One run made the difference, but the determination, teamwork and fighting spirit displayed on the field are qualities we, as Dallers, can be truly proud of.
