The girls' hockey teams of Hoërskool Ben Viljoen played their last league matches of the season against Hoërskool Pietersburg in Pietersburg on 13 June 2026. The Dallers faced one of the strongest schools in the Limpopo Big Schools Girls' Hockey Division and gained valuable match experience.
Hoërskool Pietersburg, which has approximately 1 230 learners, has a strong sports culture and properly tested the Dallers on their home field.
The u/14 team achieved the best result of the day for Ben Viljoen by forcing a deserved 1-1 draw. The u/15 team fought hard, but eventually had to bow the knee with 2-3. The u/16 team played against a strong Pietersburg team and lost 0-5. The senior teams also gave it their all in their last league games of the year. The 2nd team lost 0-6, while the 1st team put in a brave performance before having to settle for a narrow 1-2 defeat.
Although the results were not in the Dallers’ favour, it does not reflect the dedication, perseverance and teamwork shown by all the players throughout the season. Participating in the highly competitive Limpopo Big Schools Girls Hockey Division provides valuable exposure and contributes to the development of players at all levels.
