  • Class of 2025

In an uncertain and unstable period in history, you walked through the gates of Hoërskool Ben Viljoen in 2021 as confused grade 8s - armoured with a mask, a bottle of disinfectant and a heart full of questions. You entered a world that seemed different from the one you were prepared for: hallways were quieter, smiles were hidden, and distance was part of the new normal. But you walked nonetheless - brave, curious and willing to adapt. That first step already showed what kind of matriculants you would be one day.

  • Owlets of 2026 welcomed at the hostels

Huis Cherié Girls’ Hostel and Boomhuis Boys’ Hostel opened their doors on Friday evening for next year’s Grade 8 Owls. This special sleepover is annually one of the highlights on the hostel calendar, and once again proved why our hostels truly are a home away from home.

  • Dallers visits Laerskool Julian Muller

In the spirit of true leadership and school pride, three of our EC Chairpersons paid a meaningful visit to Laerskool Julian Muller this morning. The purpose of the visit was simple, but extremely valuable: to congratulate the newly elected leaders of 2026, to encourage them, and to strengthen a bridge of collaboration between the schools.

  • Uduxo Prize Giving | 2025

On Monday, 17 November 2025, Hoërskool Ben Viljoen's Uduxo classes held their annual Prize Giving Ceremony in the elegant and tranquil surroundings of Marble Hall Golf Club. The beautiful venue, with its view of lush golf courses, created the ideal atmosphere for a celebration of hard work, growth and exceptional achievement.

  • Twenty-One NSC Markers

We want to congratulate TWENTY ONE of our dedicated staff members on their respective appointments as markers for the 2025 National Senior Certificate papers.
This achievement serves as further proof of the excellent quality of our teachers, who, with their expertise and dedication, form an indispensable part of the heartbeat of Hoërskool Ben Viljoen.

At the end of each academic year, recognition is given to the hard-working learners, especially those in Grade 12. This year's prestige prize-giving ceremony took place on Tuesday, 21 October.
The Grade 8 to 11 learners received awards for their sports and cultural activities, while the Grade 12 learners' academic achievements were also announced. For the matrics, this was the prize-giving ceremony of their school career and thus also an emotional one.
Congratulations to every learner who was rewarded at this year's prize-giving. The school and the community are truly proud of you.
